Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Epictetus, LLC ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Elegant Poker Tracker mobile application (the "App") for iOS and Android. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect no personal information. The App has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting service that we operate.

Information stored on your device

Everything you enter stays in the App's local storage on your phone:

• Poker sessions: date, duration, stakes, buy-in, cash-out, location, currency, and notes.
• Your settings, such as default currency, stakes and preferred locations.
• Your purchase state (whether the Pro upgrade is active).

This data is never transmitted to us. It is included in your device's own backups (iCloud Backup or Google/Android Backup) if you have those enabled, under the terms of Apple's or Google's privacy policies. Deleting the App deletes this data from your device.

Location

If you grant location permission, the App reads your device's approximate coordinates once, in the foreground, and compares them against a list of poker rooms and casinos that ships inside the App, so it can suggest the venue you are sitting in. Your coordinates are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to us or to any third party. The App does not track your location in the background and does not store a location history. Location is optional -- you can decline the permission and type a venue name instead, and you can revoke it at any time in your device's system settings.

Network requests the App makes

• Currency exchange rates. When you use more than one currency, the App requests published reference rates from the public Frankfurter API (frankfurter.dev). The request contains only a currency code -- none of your session data, and no identifier for you or your device. As with any internet request, the receiving service sees the connecting IP address.
• Purchases. If you buy the Pro subscription, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple and Google process that payment under their own privacy policies, and report back to the App only whether an entitlement is active.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, because we do not collect any. We do not use your data for advertising or for training any model. We would disclose information only if legally compelled to -- and in practice we hold nothing about you to disclose.

Exporting your data

The App can export your sessions to a spreadsheet file using your device's standard share sheet. Where that file goes -- email, cloud drive, messaging app -- is your choice, and from that point it is governed by whichever service you send it to.

Children

The App is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because your data lives only on your device, you are already in full control of it: you can view, edit, export, or delete any session in the App, and uninstalling the App erases the rest. There is no server-side copy for us to retrieve or delete. If you have a request under the GDPR, the CCPA, or a similar law, contact us and we will help -- though in most cases the answer is that we hold no data about you.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in the App's store listing as well.
